I only had about an hour to get out before work, but went for it. After countless crap sessions and getting REALLY frustrated at not being able to stay upwind I bit the bullet and put up the 16m, despite the blood on the kite from Saturday's incident.

I was pleasantly surprised that the kite was well behaved in the 12-15mph winds, and took out the big board with the leash.

HOORAH!

At last I had a really good session... perfectly powered up, perfectly trimmed kite, the right board, and not only did I get to stay upwind EVEN GOING INTO THE WAVES but I even made ground upwind. I even managed a bit of toeside.

The sun was shining, the seaspray was warm, and at last it all just fell into place.

It had to end all too quickly but what a way to start a work day! Carried that totally chilled, smiley 'beach' feeling with me all day.
